Graduate Students

Dr. Diehl will consider exceptional students for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications are accepted through the Psychological Sciences program at Kansas State University. For more information about the Ph.D. program in Psychological Sciences and instructions to apply, visit the Graduate Application Procedures page. Students enter the program under a primary mentor. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to contact Dr. Diehl via email prior to applying to the program. Applications are due December 1st.

Undergraduate Students

The Diehl Lab is often looking for talented undergraduates to be involved in research projects. If you are interested, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/jGRekue4o7bHYc9U8 and send Dr. Diehl via email your CV/resume, a copy of your unofficial transcripts, and class schedule and we can discuss available options. A minimum GPA of 3.50 is preferred, but students with a strong interest will be considered. There are no class requirements, but it is strongly preferred that students have taken (or plan to take) Biology 198 (Intro to Biology), PSYCH 350 (Research Methods), and Psych 475 (Principles of Learning) or Psych 470 (Introduction to Neuroscience - formerly Psychobiology).  Dr. Diehl requires students to commit to at least 2 semesters and at least 6 hours per week in the lab during the semester and 10 hours per week in the lab during the summer, given the training and duration of experiments that are needed to conduct research in the lab.

High school and other students

The Diehl Lab welcomes students from high school or those in between enrollment (e.g. post-baccalaureate trainees). Please contact Dr. Diehl via email for more information.
